Claymore Chapter 78

By Brian

The (insert adjective here) Seven have made their triumphant return; just how much more powerful have they become?

Rating: 9.3 jutsus out of 10.

I didn’t utter out “oh shit” as often in this chapter but it is amazing how improved the Seven have become.  Clare has been able to hone her Quicksword into Flora’s old Windcutter and Miria seems to have enhanced her Phantom ability even further.  Tabitha has also honed her yoki-reading skills and was able to determine where Agatha’s true body was under her true form that happens to look similar to Riful’s.

It turns out that her body is constantly moving inside so anytime Agatha was slashed, Tabitha had to be asked where Agatha’s body was.

Agatha takes Galatea hostage but Clare shows off her Windcutter by cutting Agatha’s arm into pieces.  She then delivers the fatality by cutting off the rest of Agatha’s body, leaving Galatea unharmed.

Quote of the chapter:
Clare: [...]Although its power has decreased, it’s accuracy has increased.
[Clare uses her Windcutter to cut off Agatha's arm]
Galatea: The accuracy has increased?  But you cut my hair just now…

Ah, Galatea, always vain, even when blinded and missing an arm…

And I’m sure we are going to miss all the gratuitous nudity Agatha provided.  T_T
