So, Kaiji-kun, how much do you value your sense of hearing?

This episode had me going squeamish every time they showed what would happen to Kaiji’s eardrum when he used up all 30 mm he was betting on. We also see that he is being completely out-played by Tonegawa in E Card.
The peanut gallery tries to cheer Kaiji on but they become more and more aware he is no match for Tonegawa.
Kaiji tries to be like Akagi by making a crazy bet: 10 mm. He tries to put a lot on the line but he ultimately loses, leading to a very painful experience of having to hear that crazy drill get ever closer and closer to his eardrum.
Kaiji tries to put his uber 1337 gambling skills to the test by betting 10 mm.
We really get to see Kaiji lose it; he gets frazzled, confused and scared as Tonegawa continues to beat the hell out of him in this card game. It gets to a point where Kaiji only has six millimeters he can bet with six games remaining. OMGHOLYSHIT.
LOL Kaiji, you’re gonna get raped.
Next week is either a continuance or conclusion of this game. Something (perhaps a string of consecutive wins by Kaiji) happens to make Tonegawa go “wtf” (you’ll see in the screencaps).
