Wow, omg holy shit…Kaiji manages to live but not after he pussies out. In episode 11 he mentions how he would be willing to shove someone off without mercy but he ends up crying over it and can’t come through. It should be noted that Kaiji was disqualified (along with two others) for falling off the beam. They lost their chance at the money but they were able to move on to the next room with the other finishers. YEAH, FINISHER. :: points to medal around neck ::
Sahara and Ishida finished first and second, respectively, but they don’t get paid; they end up getting some kind of ticket. HUH?
Tonegawa (one of the men running the show on Espoir) returns and introduces them to their next challenge: another beam bridge! Only difference is that this one is like a hell lot higher (over 70 meters) off the ground and that the beam will be electrically charged. Anyone losing balance will pretty much be D.I.E.
Edit: The ones who finished first and second in the race got tickets that have to be redeemed for cash within two hours. First place gets 20 million, second place gets 10 million. Of course to get the money, they have to cross the death-defying bridge. Only one person finished the fifth and final race so the second place ticket was unclaimed. Kaiji ends up claiming it.
Only ten decide to cross the death-defying bridge. All the other survivors were escorted out and will no longer have a chance at the 20 million or 10 million yen.
